Our most valuable resource our staff

We recognise that our staff are key to the warm, supportive atmosphere at The Millings. So we were one of the first care providers to give our people the living wage to keep them and develop them at every opportunity.

We identify potential in individuals and are committed to training and promoting our staff in whatever position they hold to become the best version of them they can be.

This results in a loyal, consistent team with very little turnover. That ensures we know how to bring out the best in one another and build invaluable relationships with our residents. We also involve our residents in the interviewing panel for any new posts.

All of our staff, from house-keeper to maintenance, manager to care partner, share and embody the same values of care, dignity and respect. We enable people to be independent WITH us, not dependent ON us.

Our care is second to none. We put the happiness of our residents at the centre of everything we do. Our team of qualified professionals provide the best care and support in a warm, friendly environment, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

We do not employ agency staff and believe our high level of care comes from knowing our residents, their personal preferences, needs and wishes.

This comes from the close relationships that develop between residents and the staff, and the trust the team earn by spending time and caring for individuals at our homes.

We take great pride in St Johns House and we always ensure that our residents are at the heart of everything we do. We have an incredible team who are available for our residents 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
